Dean's Fund for Excellence in Education Your contributions provide essential financial support to meet expenses not covered by state funds, as well as to provide financial support for other unique faculty and student needs.
UIC College of Education Reading Clinic Your contributions support our literacy program for students working with our tutors through the College’s Reading Clinic.
Aimee Strawn Math and Science Scholarship in Urban Education Your contributions provide scholarships to students specializing in the teaching of mathematics and science to Chicago’s elementary school students in honor of the late Professor Aimee Strawn.
Marilyn Mucha Special Education Fund Your contributions provide scholarships to students preparing to teach special education students.
Ann Lynn Lopez Schubert Memorial Fellowship Fund Your contributions provide fellowship support to doctoral students of Curriculum Studies in honor of the late Professor Ann Schubert.
David A. Wilson Scholarship Fund Your contributions provide fellowship support to doctoral students in honor of the late Professor David Wilson.
Future Leaders of African American Male Education (FLAAME) Your contributions will support this outreach initiative that seeks to train high achieving high-school juniors to become reading teachers in the primary grades.
Dr. Ward Weldon Scholarship Fund Your contributions will provide essential support for students in the Educational Policy Studies department in honor of the late Dr. Ward Weldon.
Chou Faculty Awards These awards are in recognition of the professional contributions of Dean Victoria Chou to the College of Education, UIC and the City of Chicago. Dean Chou served as Dean of the College of Education from 1997 – 2013. Your contributions will provide support for competitive faculty awards that focus research on developing and applying effective practices that improve learning outcomes for students and adults in African American and Latino communities. These awards will primarily support community outreach and research initiatives that have a direct impact on the learning outcomes of students and adults.
