Curriculum & Instruction
The Curriculum and Instruction Department prepares students to become high quality elementary and secondary teachers at the undergraduate and graduate levels and enriches the work of practicing educators by providing opportunities for further education and professional development.
The Department also develops scholars, researchers and leaders in curriculum and instruction, literacy (language and culture), math and science education, bilingual/ESL education and teacher education through Ph.D. course work and research. We offer two Ph.D. Programs: Curriculum Studies and Literacy, Language, and Culture.
