Equipment and Room Reservations

The following instructions should be used to reserve rooms 1241, 3312 or 3427.

  1. Once you have selected the link at the end of these instructions, you will be at the College of Education Room Reservations page.  After the introductory paragraph you will see a white "plus" sign on a blue background.  Click on that icon to start the reservation process.
  2. Select the link for the room you want to reserve.
  3. Log in to the system with your netid and password.
  4. Enter the information on the form which is required for the reservation.
  5. Save or submit the reservation.

UIC requires that units planning or conducting programs or activities designed to include minors that are not enrolled at the University report said activities to UIC Human Resources.

The campus has created forms that need to be completed for each activity at least fourteen (14) days prior to the start of an activity.  Please see the link below for additional information:

If you are having any problems with the reservation system, need to delete or modify a reservation, have questions, or need a room immediately please contact Jim Rowan at jimrowan@uic.edu or 312-355-0721.

If you have been denied access to the reservation system and think you should have access, please email Mike Herkes, mherkes@uic.edu.  If you are a student, then you may ask a faculty or staff member to make a reservation for you.

Conference Phone Reservations

To connect 1 or 2 outside people via telephone:  Please contact a member of your department staff so they can reserve a conference phone for your meeting. The conference phone and reservation book are located in Room 3335.

To connect 3 or more outside people via telephone:  Please contact a member of your department staff so they can submit a request to ACCC/Telecomm for an 800 dial-in number. The request needs to be submitted at least 3 days in advance.

Please note: the conference phone operates in Rooms 3312 and 3427.

Chou Faculty Award

Description of Award

This faculty award shall be used to support research focused on developing and applying effective practices that improve learning outcomes for children and young adults in African American and Latinx communities. Targeted outcomes included but are not limited to raising test scores, overall academic performance, increasing academic motivation or academic engagement.  The award will support research initiatives that involve community outreach, and that document positive impacts on student learning, achievement, motivation, opportunities and/or life outcomes.

Eligibility

Any faculty member within the College of Education is eligible to apply before the deadline. All applications must be submitted electronically on or before Friday, March 3, 2017.

Selection Process

Awardee will be picked by a selection committee of their faculty colleagues within the College of Education.

The application period is currently closed.  Applications will re-open in the Fall 2017 semester.
