Academic Support Programs at the University of Illinois at Chicago
Academic Center for Excellence![]() Services: general study strategies, time management, study groups, critical reading and thinking, memory, test-taking strategies, stress management, test anxiety reduction, math strategies, research papers and application essays, and overcoming self-defeating behavior. |
TRIO/ASP![]() TRIO/ASP extends service to students from low-income families, students with disabilities, and/or students who are the first generation in their families to attend college. Applicants also must have been admitted to UIC and demonstrated a need for academic support. |
African American Academic Network![]() The AAAN provides a supportive campus environment for African-American students through advising, social and cultural activities, and academic support. |
CHANCE Program (CLC)![]() The CHANCE Program aims to assist incoming freshman, transfer and currently enrolled students make their transition to UIC by providing an arena that focuses on academic preparation, study habits and skills, motivation, coping strategies, and more. All factors involved in CLC are devoted to helping the student become independent, confident and ready to take their rightful place in society after graduation. |
