EdD program coach Paul Zavitkovsky said that the way State of Illinois administrators report student test scores doesn't offer very useful information. The same scores could be reported in a way that lets teachers and leaders make better decisions in the classroom and boardroom, he said in an interview with WBEZ's Linda Lutton last month. Instead, the state's department of education is focusing all efforts to debuting a new test format in 2015. "It's very frustrating to watch policies be built on numbers that don't really mean much," he said.
