Policy Studies, M.Ed.
degree requirements
A minimum of 32 semester hours of credit are required for the degree of which at least 9 hours must be at the 500 level. Independent Study Courses and any 597 or 598 courses do not count towards the required 9 hours of 500 level coursework for the M.Ed. program.
A. Core Curriculum (9 semester hours):
- Philosophy or History of Education (Education 402 or 403 - 3 hours)
- Educational or Developmental or Adolescent Psychology (Education 421 or 422 or 445 - 3 hours)
- Curriculum, Instruction and Evaluation (Education 430 or 431 - 3 hours)
B. Concentration (12 semester hours):
- 400 or 500 level EDPS courses not reserved for Doctoral programs, taken with advisor approval.
C. Elective Courses (11 semester hours):
- Chosen in consultation with your advisor, 4 hours of EDPS 596 maximum.
