Special Education




The Special Education Department is a graduate school community of dedicated scholars, researchers, teachers, and practitioners working toward innovation and access to improve the education of children and adolescents with disabilities - particularly in urban school environments. The community is also a forceful advocate for special education through myriad outreach service programs and vanguard research in Chicago and beyond.

The Special Education Department offers an array of exemplary programs that prepare individuals to make significant contributions to the field of special education.
