Intercollege Transfer (ICT) Deadline for HDL and Urban Ed majors
May 15, 2020
UIC undergraduate students who are interested in enrolling in the College of Education (EDUC) through an Intercollege Transfer (ICT): read below to learn more about the requirements and offerings of the College of Education. ICT applications are due May 15 (fall enrollment) and October 15 (spring enrollment) each year.
Requirements for ICT
In order to transfer, you must meet the College's GPA requirements:
- HDL Major – minimum cumulative GPA (UIC and transfer) of 2.0
- Urban Education – Elementary Education Major – minimum cumulative GPA (UIC and transfer) of 2.50
Before you apply
We strongly recommend students take the following actions prior to submitting their ICT Application:
- Consult with their current Academic Advisor to ensure that transferring to the College of Education is in the student’s best interest.
- Run a hypothetical (uAchieve) Degree Audit of the intended major to plan for pre-requisites or potential barriers. You can find this using your my.uic.edu student portal.
The link to the College of Education ICT application is here. Applications will be reviewed after final grades are posted for the semester. Please note that completion of the curriculum does not grant you automatic admission to the college, nor does it make you eligible for an education degree.
Contact Jennifer DeLago (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you are interested in learning more about ICT at the College of Education.
