Tim joins UIC as the director of marketing and communications in a joint role with UIC Strategic Marketing and Communications (Storytelling and Content Strategy team) and College of Education. Tim is an award-winning marketing and communications leader with over two decades of experience leading high-performing teams in education, health care, and tourism. He has extensive experience developing strategic plans and budgets for small organizations to large national and international organizations. His experience in higher education includes being the first Director of Public Relations for the Illinois Institute of Art-Chicago. He has led communications and marketing for several education organizations, including The Golden Apple Foundation, National Academy Foundation and Education Through Music.
