About
Naomi Oster (they/she), Grants and Development Specialist, came to the UIC Center for Literacy as a middle school educator and nonprofit leader in 2021. They envision a world that cherishes youth, families, care workers, and public servants. Her work across the west and south sides of Chicago spans direct service, data management, operations, and development. Currently, she champions funding efforts during a time of transformation, establishing new relationships and supporting the CFL legacy. Outside of work, Naomi can be found practicing contact improvisation or tending to their plants. Naomi credits their crisis management skills and activist spirit to her Chicago Public School education as a graduate of Lane Tech High School.
