About
Joanna Skourletos is a Postdoctoral Research Associate within the College of Education at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC). Her interests focus on early childhood workforce support and development. Joanna’s experiences as a preschool teacher and administrator in community-based organizations strengthened her commitment to the field and continue to inform her research and practice.
At UIC, Joanna is a member of the ECWorks team, where she contributes to projects that build sustainable systems to support the incumbent early childhood workforce. She currently serves as the Project Director for the Illinois Early Childhood Apprenticeship Project, a partnership with the Illinois Department of Human Service (IDHS) and the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL). Most recently, Joanna was the Data Manager on a U.S. Department of Education (DOE) Teacher Quality Partnership (TQP) grant.
