About
Dr. Sierra Ryan is the Director of the Council on Teacher Education. Dr. Ryan is responsible for the leadership and oversight of the Council on Teacher Education operations. Dr. Ryan serves as a liaison between UIC and the Illinois State Board of Education, and works collaboratively with the Deans of the College of Education, the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, the College of Architecture, Design, and the Arts, the College of Nursing and the Jane Addams College of Social Work to ensure ISBE compliance of the UIC educator preparation programs. She has over 10 years of experience serving the UIC CTE in various roles.
