José García is a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction. His research and teaching interests examine the relationship between experience and ideology in the work of Latinx and immigrant teachers. He currently teaches courses on race and ethnicity in education and foundations in educating English language learners. His research has appeared in The Urban Review, Critical Education, Diálogo, and the Journal for Critical Education Policy Studies. José is a former elementary school bilingual teacher.
