About
Mirna Teresa Holton is the Director of Development at the University of Illinois-Chicago (UIC) College of Education. She works alongside College of Education alumni and friends to align their generous philanthropic priorities in support of students and faculty, with existing initiatives, and in developing new opportunities at the College.
Mirna has over 20 years of advancement experience working in the social impact sector on behalf of community-based organizations and in higher education. Mirna grew up in Chicago's Little Village neighborhood in an entrepreneurial household that highly valued education. An active community member, she is currently serving a three-year term on the Chicago Commission on Human Relations Board of Commissioners and has previously served on boards of notable non-profit organizations.
