About
Jackie Kalan joined the College of Education at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) as the Associate Dean for Administration in April 2024. She leads the business and administrative operations including financial management, human resources (HR), space/facilities management, building renovation, and information technology (IT). Jackie has worked in higher education for over 18 years in various finance and administrative roles. Her professional passions include process improvement, problem solving, mentorship and team building. Her work/personal superpower is "being a bridge builder." Jackie received a Master of Public Administration from the University of Illinois Chicago and a Bachelor of Science in Education from Kent State University.
