UIC Urban Teacher Scholarship

The UIC Urban Teacher Scholarship helps support MEd students who intend to become certified teachers in Chicago Public Schools. To be eligible students must be enrolled in one of the following MEd programs: Science Education, Special Education, Early Childhood Education, or Language, Literacies, and Learning.

Scholarship decisions are announced about six weeks after the deadline.

Please write a 500 word (maximum) essay about your commitment to children and youth in urban schools and communities, discuss what inspired this commitment, and describe your financial need for funding. Write your essay in a word processing software, and then copy and paste the text into this form.
Impact essay * Required
Please write a short essay stating the impact that receiving funds would have on your degree completion or professional goals. *Note: this essay may be provided to current and potential donors.
