Special Education Programs
Introduction
The Department of Special Education offers four degree programs at the bachelors, masters and doctoral level. The BS Inclusive and Special Education program will launch in fall 2026. The MS in Applied Behavior Analysis, Disability, and Diversity in Urban Society degree prepares individuals to become Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) with the skills to work effectively with marginalized populations. The MEd Special Education program prepares those new to teaching, current teachers seeking expertise in special education and current special educators seeking advanced endorsements. The PhD Special Education program prepares researchers, school leaders and higher education faculty advocating for children with special education needs nationwide.
