Design effective, innovative educational experiences for all learners

The Minor in Instructional Design and Training (IDT) is a new minor that allows students to develop their professional skills to design better, more meaningful learning experiences.

Instruction and learning happen every day and in all professions, not just in schools. Courses in this minor prepare students to make training and other educational experiences more innovative and effective for learners and professionals in all fields of work.

The IDT minor is open to all majors at UIC. Students do not need previous experience or coursework in education to apply. Students are encouraged to consult their home colleges and advisors about acceptability and applicability of IDT course credit toward their degree.
